How is everyone doing? I am posting this blog last minute and I apologize. This week has been a long one for me, and this blog is not going to be very upbeat because, I feel like writing about how I have felt this past week. One of my good friends that I grew up with lost his battle to cancer. His name was Nathan George and he was a student at LSUS. He was diagnosed with leukemia September 2009, and was pretty much in the hospital until he passed last Saturday. I have a close nit group of friends that I have gone to school with since we were in kindergarten, and Nathan was one of them. It is still hard to grasp this feeling; I just do not understand why his life was cut so short. He was a good person with high goals in life, it just doesn’t make since. The only since I can make of it is that he is no longer in pain, and he was very strong in his faith, so I am 100% sure he is in a better place watching down on us. Life is so precious and it’s sad that it takes times like this to snatch you back to reality and open your eyes to what is really important in life. I almost feel guilty now complaining about the things in my life because it has no comparison to what his family is going through. Everyone just keep the George family in your prayers and have a good day.
RIP Nathan Allen George~August 25, 1988-November 6, 2010
my prayers are with you and his family. life is short and the bible tells us that we are not promise tomorrow. we should live life to the fullest doing everything we can to be a blessing to others. i am so sorry to hear about Nathan. i know now that God will care for him and we will see him again. May God bless! until then.

ReplyDeleteI lost a good friend to cancer earlier this year, and my mother is currently undergoing chemo for non-hodgkins lymphoma (one more series and she's done, I hope). I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

I am sorry this is late but I want to say I am sorry about your friend. Cancer is a hard scary thing in life. I've had my battle with it years ago as well as most of my family. Remember to keep Nathan always in your heart and he will never leave your side. Stay strong and positive as his family will need that. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
