Anyone else notice?

How's it going? The weather is awesome outside today, glad I have the day off so I can spend as much of it as I can outside. Today I am having a blank on what to write about, so bare with me. So, at work there are lots of TV's and usually at least one of them is on the news channel. I could not help but to sit and watch it the other day and question myself as to why they only show negative stuff. Our local news shows about 5% good things going on in our community and the other 95% is about who got robbed? Who got killed? Who killed their kids this week? And I think it is just sad and terrible that they feel it is necessary to focus on all the negative things going on out there. Basically my point is the media has a terrible influence on us and I would be terrifed to let my kids leave the house, if I had any. I just wish they would show the good things going on around us instead of making us paranoid to pump gas with the worry of being shot.

  1. I do watch the news. I try to watch the last fifteen minutes so I can see the weather and catch up on sports. Most local news has the worst things within the first ten minutes. If you don't care about the negative make should you miss the first five for sure.

  2. i follow that. they seem to have all the gossip of whats going on in the communities and so report all negative. the only good thing about it though, is that, they do inform you of what is happening around us. it is good to know your surroundings so that you can be more alert. but for the most people are to get a grip and come together and love one another so that we can see more good reports than bad ones.

  3. I don't watch the news. I get enough of it when I sign on to my Internet browser; if I want more information, I look it up. I don't think I'm an ostrich, but how many times can I listen to bad things without it affecting me? I want to believe that people are basically good; the news doesn't let me believe that!
